Vernice Ann Hill was born on February 05, 1960, in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the youngest of ten children. Vernice, was preceded in death by her parents Orlena and Edward Hill, her brothers Roy King, Edward Hill Jr, Rodney Hill, Murphy Hill. One sister Gloria Bell and one great grandson De'Andre Carter Ridley.
Vernice professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized by Pastor A.L Hamilton Sr. at St. Timothy M.B Church. She was the integral force that brought her mother back to church and started her daughter on the same path of loving our Lord and Savior. Life lead her away from the church, but our Heavenly Father reclaimed her and brought her back home to St. Timothy Christian Church, where she worked on the usher board until her health failed.
Vernice was the fun-loving Auntie, Sister, Grandmother, and Friend. She never turned a soul away from her doorstep. If she could help you, she would. Whether it was a meal to eat or a couple of weeks sleeping on her couch, you knew that she loved you unconditionally from her actions. All her babies loved to spend time with her, enjoying her home cooked meals, listening to music, singing/dancing, and family cookouts. Vernice had the patience of Job. She possessed the unique ability to deal with others' different temperaments and accept them on their terms, this was her gift. She will be missed by all who loved her.
