Terence Woods

With profound sadness, the Woods family announces the unexpected passing of Terence Lamount Woods, who gained his wings on November 17, 2024, at the age of 47.

Terence "Bookie" Woods was born on November 30, 1976, at 1:00 PM to parents Patricia Woods and McKinley Robinson. He was raised in the Cochran Housing Development alongside his two sisters, Patrice and Cassandra, and sibling-cousins Bryant (deceased), Christine, and Jerome. Terence attended Patrick Henry Elementary, Vashon High School, and Parkway West High School as part of the St. Louis School Desegregation Program. From an early age, he demonstrated a commitment to achieving his goals and paving a path to success.

After exploring various fields, Terence found his calling as a dedicated employee of Union Pacific Railroad, where he worked for over 20 years. Known for his love of food, Terence expressed his affection through cooking and sharing meals. He also cherished traveling the world with his love and companion, Kenyotta Griffin.

Terence had a gift for conversation, whether talking to friends, family, or even strangers. At the same time, he was an exceptional listener, always ready to offer support and a kind ear. His infectious laughter and adventurous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Terence leaves behind to cherish his memory two sons, Terence "T.J." Woods and Tyler Woods; his parents, Patricia Woods and McKinley Robinson; three sisters, Patrice Woods, Cassandra Woods, and Christine Taylor; one brother, Jerome Swanigon; his loving companion, Kenyotta Griffin; and special cousins Franzetta Jackson, Terrie Bell, Stephanie Dunlap, Dolores Dunlap, and Kevin Woods. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends, and coworkers.
