Mr. Leroy Coleman Sr., was also known as Moe and Lee. Leroy was born on May 26, 1953, to Henry Sr. and Annie Coleman in Hopedale, Mississippi.
Leroy attended Westernline School District in Glen Allen, Mississippi.
Leroy moved to St. Louis, MO in 1972. He was employed at Lizmark, Miller Distributor, and Nordine, where he would later retire from. After retirement, Leroy took on being a mechanic until his death.
Leroy was a family man, and he loved his blues music, singing, dancing, and cooking. He was also a bas guitar player and enjoyed singing and playing with the Boogie Boys in Grace, Mississippi.
Leroy met Cassandra Bobbitt and to this union five beautiful children were born. Throughout life, Leroy had two additional children and gained another two.
Leroy peacefully departed his life on March 27, 2022 at Barnes Hospital at 3:45PM. He was preceded in death by his parents, (Henry Sr. and Annie Coleman; four brothers (Izial, Henry, Henry Jr. Benny); one sister (Henrietta); father and mother-in-law, (Harold Bobbitt Sr., (Jean); and a special friend (Marilyn Verner) who was the mother of his later four children.
He leaves cherished memories with his loving wife, Cassandra Coleman of 48 years; nine children, Leroy Jr. (Latanya), DeAndre (Kneesha), Anthony (TiAnna), Nicholas Coleman, all of St. Louis, MO Michele (Byron) Coleman of Greenville, MS, Shantay Coleman, Erica (Hosie) Crump, Tewanna Verner and Rhonda (Terrell) Gardener, all of St. Louis; MO two brothers James and Rodger Coleman, both of Mayersville, MS, Wirene Robinson and Corinder Coleman, both of Hopedale, MS; Three sister-in-law, Maggie Coleman, French (ROdney) Turner, Linda Bobbitt, Jr (Marilyn) all of St. Louis, MO
Leroy also leaves to cherish his memory his grandchildren, LC, Tyrek, Jaden, Javon, Tavian, Tyrese, Neppy, Woogie, Jamia, Chocolate, Byron Jr., Jordan, Treasure, Man-Man, Jewel, Princess, Eli, Chubbs, Munchy, Jamaiah, Semaj, Maiah,Raiah, Chassidy, Dammarion, Daniyah, Kaleah, Tinky, Nivea, Cammorah, Summer, Harmony, Ryan, Niyrah, Haleigh, Harpo, Wynter, six great-grandchildren, three special friends, Bob,Sonnie and Mississippi; and host of other family and friends.
