James Swapshire

June 2, 1953 — June 9, 2023

James Allen Swapshire was born to the proud parents of Robert Allen Swapshire and Mary Evelyn Swapshire in St. Louis, Missouri, on July 2, 1953. (Both parents proceeded him in death.) He was the third of nine children. He confessed "Christ," at a young age.

He enlisted into the Air Force Jan. 08, 1973, were he received an honorable discharge. He retired from the St Louis Airport as an AC HVAC Technician.

He was committed to his family. James loved to host company, cook & BarBQ for everyone. He was always a joy to be around, jolly and full of jokes he kept everyone laughing. He had the ability to make everyone feel loved and welcomed, He never met a stranger. He loved to listen to Motown music on his porch, The "Delfonics" and "Isley Brothers" being some of his favorite male groups. He loved bebopping with his brothers & cousins, with him being the lead singer of course.

Family members preceded him in death Brother/ Robert Louis Swapshire, Sister/Evelyn Swapshire-Willis, Brother/ John Swapshire, Brother/ Carl Swapshire.

He leaves behind to mourn his passing and rejoice in all the wonderful memories. 2 daughters, Carmellatta Bradley, Lashionda Bradley, 2 brothers Christopher Swapshire, Jerome Swapshire (Shelley), 2 sisters Penny Campbell, and Robin Marie Swapshire. and 3 children he assists with raising, Dominique Meeks, Mary Orr, and Anthony Love and a host of Nieces, Nephews, and a host of grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren.
