Isadore Kizer, Jr. was born March 31, 1937 to Isadore Kizer, Sr. and Estella Cardelia Manson-Kizer, who preceded him in death. Also, his siblings John Henry, C.L., Thelma, Mattie Mae and William, two of his children Charles Jones and Sharon Merriweather preceded him in death,
Isadore, Jr. attended Isaac Chapel Rosenwald school in Marshall County, Byhalia, Mississippi. He also attended Hernando High School in Hernando, MS.
Isadore, Jr. was a founding member of the Watson Church of God in Christ located in Byhalia, Mississippi. At the age of twelve he, his parents and two sisters helped to clear the ground where the church is located, The name of the church was later changed to Cathedral of Praise COGIC, The first pastor was Elder Clinton Woods, now pastored by Superintendent Andrew McClellan.
Isadore, Jr. served in the United States Army from 1958 to 1960. After the military he made his home in St. Louis, Missouri. He was employed by Checker Cab Company, and later Yellow Cab. He was
a driver and a dispatcher and retired in 2000 with an excellent work history.
Isadore, Jr. loved to travel. He played baseball and basketball in school and he loved to watch all sports but St. Louis teams were his favorite. He was a people person and wanted to keep in contact with everybody all the time. He met Ms. Alberta Ambus in 1970 but life called them in opposite directions, but love prevailed, and they married in 1996.
Isadore Kizer, Jr. departed this life on June 24, 2022, at six o'clock p.m. (it's quitting time), in St. Louis, MO. He leaves to cherish memories, his loving wife Alberta Ambus-Kizer; five Children, one son Terrence Clay of St. Louis, MO; four daughters, Patricia Ann Ross, Memphis, TN; Lisa Ambus, St. Louis, MO; Randi and Rhonda Coley, Chicago, IL; twenty-four grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; four sisters, Maggie Kizer and Annie Porter, Chicago, IL; Katie (Earnest) Caldwell, Lynwood, IL; Liddie Hall, Harvey, IL and a host of nieces nephews, great and great-great
nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends and neighbors. See you
on the other side, Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle (Ike).
