Caster Thomas, 71, of Marvel, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 2024. Born on May 12, 1953, to Mr. & Mrs. Morn and Edith Thomas, Caster defied expectations and lived a full, joyous life despite being born with special needs.
Caster was known for his infectious joy, love of orange soda, and passion for Motown music. He would often snap his fingers and groove to classic tunes, bringing smiles to those around him. His playful nature was evident in his habit of "firing" staff members and his ever-growing requests for pocket change, which eventually graduated to dollar bills.
Although doctors predicted he wouldn't live past 12, Caster enjoyed a life filled with travel, game shows, candy bars, family, and laughter. His resilience and zest for life touched everyone he met.
Cass is survived by his sisters, Diane (john) Minor and Sabrina (Todd) West; brother, Desmond Thomas of St. Louis, MO; uncles Joe Hunter of Chicago, IL and Earl (Pat) Hunter of Little Rock, AR; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Morn and Edith Thomas, sisters, Joyce and Cossie, brother Willie Mack, and sister-in-law Janet lackson" Thomas.
Cass will be remembered for his ability to recall and inquire about every family member and friend by name, even in his final moments. His legacy of love, laughter, and perseverance will continue to inspire all who knew him.
